Wool for felting Australian merino, tonin 23 microns, production Ukraine
Differs from Australian felting merino, 21 microns in thickness, which is very difficult to determine both visually and by touch, especially for novice felters. Otherwise, this wool, in terms of properties and quality, is not inferior to 21μm.
Australian merino wool 23μm is ideal for various techniques in wet felting, nuno-felting, and is also used in dry felting and thick knitting.
This is not spun wool - comb tape (tops).
It is used for felting and thick knitting by hand or with thick knitting needles. When knitting, the tape needs to be twisted, otherwise it separates (tears off). Various techniques of knitting from tops are also used. If you take the tape in two hands at a distance greater than the length of the pile from which it is made (from 5 cm to 20 cm depending on the breed of sheep) and simply spread your hands without exerting any effort, it will split (tear).
